The Union County Softball Tournament was seeded Tuesday, and two-time defending champion Cranford was awarded the top seed.

A.L. Johnson earned the No. 2 seed, with Governor Livingston No. 3 and Dayton seeded fourth.

The play-in round must be completed by Thursday, featuring the No. 14 through No. 19 seeds. The second round is slated for Saturday, and the quarterfinals for May 15. The semifinals are scheduled for May 17  and the final May 19 or May 20.

9-Scotch Plains-Fanwood at 8-Union Catholic

13-New Providence at 4-Dayton

12-Summit at 5-Elizabeth
