Owen Hernandez is Gov. Livingston’s Union County Conference Male Athlete of the Week.
Hernandez, a senior, is a 3-year captain on Gov. Livingston’s fencing team, which is 4-1 in dual meets this season. He is notable for his strategic fencing style, exemplary sportsmanship, and rousing speeches to pump up the fencing team before their competitions.
Hernandez will be leading the Highlanders to the 95th Cetrulo State Tournament this Sunday where they will strive to top their fifth-place finish out of 56 schools last year.
