Mathew Resende is Brearley’s Union County Conference Male Athlete of the Week.
Resende, a senior, is a standout two-way player who had a strong season on both offense and defense.
On offense, he rushed 92 times for 717 yards and 6 touchdowns, highlighted by a 62-yard long run. His ability to break big plays and consistently gain yardage made him a key part of the offense.
Defensively, he recorded 47 tackles, including 4 tackles for loss and 1 sack, showing his ability to read plays and make stops in the backfield.
