Senior goalie Lorenzo Tittanegro is Scotch Plains-Fanwood’s Union County Conference Male Athlete of the Week.“Lorenzo has shown incredible skill, poise, and determination all season long,” said SPF head hockey coach Matthew Gunther. ” He continues to stand on his head game after game and has been a huge contributor to our team’s success as we enter the final week of the regular season with a 15–2–1 record.”
“Through 18 games, Lorenzo has recorded an outstanding 9 shutouts and boasts an impressive 96.3% save percentage, stopping 550 of 571 shots faced,” said Gunther. “As the season winds down, Lorenzo is on the verge of making school history—just 89 saves shy of breaking the school record of 1,536 saves set by Ryan Lamberta in 2020.”
