Jane Kavanagh is Westfield’s Union County Conference Female Athlete of the Week.
Kavanaugh has been the pillar of power that has fueled the Westfield girls’ swimming juggernaut.
This season, Kavanagh hasn’t lost an individual race in any of the 11 meets and continued that streak by winning both the 100 freestyle and 100 backstroke at the Union County Championships.
During the swim meet vs. Immaculatae Heart Academy, Kavanagh rebroke the school record in the 200 individual medley and now has her name attached to a total of 4 school records (200 freestyle relay, 400 freestyle relay, 200 indvidual medley, and the 200 freestyle.
