Rojas, a sophomore catcher, has emerged as a standout leader for the Elizabeth High School softball team. A two-year starter behind the plate, Gabi brings a powerful combination of skill, leadership, and consistency to the field. She currently leads her team in nearly every major offensive category, including batting average (.419), runs scored (14), home runs (3), hits (18), and slugging percentage (.698), an especially impressive feat coming from the leadoff spot.
In addition to her offensive impact, Gabi anchors the defense with poise and precision behind the plate. Her coach, Ed Ryan, had high praise for her, saying, “She is the most put together catcher I’ve coached in over 25 years of coaching.”
Gabrielle’s all-around excellence and leadership make her a deserving nominee for Union County Female Athlete of the Week.
