Daniel Berardi is Westfield’s Union County Conference Male Athlete of the Week.Berardi, a senior on the wrestling team, has had a great career as a Blue Devil.
“He came in as a solid wrestler with a strong background and has made steady progress each year,” said Westfield wrestling coach Glen Kurz. “Last year, he had an awesome region tournament, finishing first, and he won a match in Atlantic City at the State Tournament. This year, Dan had a bit of a slow start, but is picking up momentum at the right time. He’ already accomplished a lot in winning a region title and hitting 100 wins, but his best wrestling is still ahead of him.”
