Nikola Podgorica is Roselle Park’s Union County Conference Male Athlete of the Week.
Podgorica, a junior guard on the basketball team, is having an outstanding 2026 season, currently averaging an impressive 20 points per game. His season-high performance of 44 points ranks among the top five single-game scoring efforts in the state, highlighting his ability to take over a game offensively.
Nikola’s success reflects a tremendous individual turnaround from last season, a transformation made possible by his tireless work ethic and commitment during the offseason. With aspirations of playing at the next level, he has consistently put in the time and effort to elevate his game. The Roselle Park Athletic Department is proud of Nikola’s achievements and thrilled with the success he has enjoyed so far this season.
