Daniel Gonzalez is Rahway’s Union County Conference Male Athlete of the Week.
Gonzalez has officially cemented his legacy at Rahway High School, reaching the 100 career victory milestone and becoming just the 12th wrestler in program history to achieve this honor.
A vital leader within the wrestling program and a three-time team captain, Gonzalez has consistently set the standard for excellence both on and off the mat. In addition to his success in wrestling, he has also excelled in football earning all-division and county honors.
Daniel’s resume includes multiple county and District finishes, a Region 3rd Place finish last season qualifying for the NJSIAA State Tournament. This season, he continues to wrestle tough, currently holding a 17–2 record and placing 2nd in the 2026 Union County Tournament at 157 lbs.
