Ava Gaspard is Westfield’s Union County Conference Female Athlete of the Week

Gaspard, a senior volleyball star, has led the offense of the Blue Devils all season, leading the team in kills, blocks, and aces.

This past week, while competing for the Union County Championship, she was consistent in her contributions to the team. In the semi-final round vs. Cranford,  Ava had a season high 22 kills.  She added 4 blocks, 8 digs, 1 ace and 7 service points to guide Westfield to the Union County Championship.

In the Union County Finals versus arch rival Union Catholic, Ava led the team offensively with 11 kills. She also contributed defensively with 4 digs.  Her play helped the Blue Devils capture their 3rd Union County Championship in four years.
