Andre Pereira is Cranford’s Union County Conference Male Athlete of the Week.
Pereira, a senior, delivered a thrilling moment for the football team by kicking a 36-yard field goal as time expired to give Cranford a dramatic 43-41 comeback win over Rahway. His clutch kick capped off an incredible finish after Cranford recovered his onside kick in the final two minutes. In addition to his game-winning heroics, Pereira contributed on the offensive line, helping the Cougars rush for 270 yards and four touchdowns.
