The New Providence girls soccer team heads into the 2019 season with optimism over its chances to reach the Section 2, Group 1 final for the second year in a row. Scott Murphy, who is in his 17th year as head coach, has seven starters returning from a team that posted a 13-8-1 record in 2018, including a trip to the sectional final, which Glen Ridge won, 2-0.
