Fourth-seeded Cranford beat fifth-seeded Johnson 7-3 in the first round of the Union County Tournament at Warinanco Ice Skating Center in Roselle.
Ryan Echavarria led the way for Cranford with two goals.
Luke Pachkowski, Anthony Massoni, Jake Icklan, Tyler Connolly and Christian Wilde were responsible for the other five Cougar goals.
