Alissa Alcindor is Union’s Union County Conference Female Athlete of the Week.
Alcindor, a senior, is currently one of the top ranked female wrestlers in the state at the 235-pound weight class.
She has won four tournaments this year, recently winning at the Bergen County Girls Wrestling Invitational at Elmwood Park High School, and last week she finished first at the first Union County Girls Wrestling tournament last week at Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School, and she is ranked number 1 in the North Jersey, Section 2 Region wrestling tournament.
