Westfield captured its fourth Union County Tournament title on Friday at the Donald Van Blake Tennis Facility in Plainfield.

The annual three-day event began on Wednesday.

For the second consecutive year, Westfield tallied 92 points, winning four of the five flights.

Summit came in a distant second place with 58 points, while Scotch Plains-Fanwood was right behind with 57.

New Providence took fourth overall with 54 points.

Ben Duan, who didn’t play in the tournament last season due to illness, secured an individual title at second singles for the Blue Devils as he defeated SPF‘s Edward Li in the final, 6-1, 6-4.

At third singles, Justin Lee moved up from his normal doubles spot to top New Providence’s Gabriel Zapanta, 7-6(5), 6-2

Evan Kahn and Leo Goldman at first doubles also won 6-2, 6-2 over Summit’s Dylan Schulberg and Henry Deutsch, while second doubles Ethan Lung and Arden Rappoport beat New Providence’s Ankit Karthik and Jack Thomas, 6-1, 6-3.

Kahn was a second doubles champion last spring.

Scotch Plains-Fanwood’s Anand Sahsrabudhe earned back-to-back first singles titles as well, defeating Summit’s Ben Levkov, 6-0, 6-2

Levkov was the second singles winner a year ago.

Prior to Sahsrabudhe’s victory last year, the Raiders had not boasted a first singles champion in nearly two decades

Third place finishers at each flight for the tournament were Chris Winters (Westfield, first singles), Akshay Rao (New Providence, second singles), Shawn Macalalag (Summit, third singles), Thomas LaFrance and Sol Sebastian Wright (Oratory, first doubles) and Acharya Vihan and Maximo Chui (Summit, second doubles).
