Nyasia Wynn is Rahway’s Union County Conference Athlete of the Week.
Wynn has established herself as one of Union County’s premier throwers, earning recognition as Athlete of the Week for her continued excellence in the shot put. Wynn is a two-time Union County Relays Women’s Shot Put Champion, capturing the title in consecutive years and demonstrating remarkable consistency and dominance in the event. Her season’s best mark is 34’7 3/4 and her personal best is 35’11 1/4.
In addition to her individual success, Wynn serves as a captain of the Rahway High School Field (Throwing) team, where she plays a key leadership role. Her dedication, discipline, and relentless work ethic set the standard for her teammates, both in practice and in competition.
Competing against some of the county’s top talent, Wynn continues to rise to the challenge, delivering strong performances when it matters most. Her ability to remain composed under pressure has made her a dependable competitor and a standout at major meets.
Her coach expressed immense pride in Wynn’s accomplishments and mindset, stating, “I am extremely proud of Nyasia and the continuous effort she puts in every day to solidify the gold every time she competes. She carries that Rahway pride with her and shows it at every meet. Her commitment to excellence and her passion for representing Rahway are second to none.”
Beyond the medals and titles, Nyasia is respected for her leadership, determination, and unwavering commitment to her team. She leads by example, motivating those around her while consistently representing Rahway High School with pride. With her continued success and drive, Nyasia Wynn remains one of the top shot putters in Union County and a truly deserving Athlete of the Week.
