Elizabeth Athaide – Oak Knoll: Lizzie is a member of Oak Knoll’s class of 2021. She is a three year varsity cross country member. Lizzie began the season with a 2nd overall finish at the Newark Academy Invitational where the team won the overall title. Lizzie has come in first place in all three of the quad meets this year as well.  Last weekend, she placed 5th overall in the girl’s juniors race at the Bernie Magee Invitational with a season best 20:05 at the Greystone Cross Country Course.

Mary Margaret Schroeder – Oak Knoll: Mary is a four year member of the varsity tennis team. At 2nd singles, she has accumulated a winning record of 9-4. At the Union County tournament, Mary Margaret upset higher seed Summit to take 3rd place. She also serves as co-captain and is great role model and motivator for the team. Mary Margaret is also implementing a team charity fundraiser for childhood cancer awareness.

Kingsley Maduka – Union: Kingsley holds the top time for the Union Farmers this year. He a natural leader and serves as the co-captain of the cross country team. He finished 1st in two of dual meets this year. Kingsley also placed at the Garrett Mountain Invitational Meet.
Lyric Scott – Union: Lyric is the captain of the field hockey team and leader on and off the field.  She brings knowledge to the team and great leadership. She has collected seven goals and four assists so far this season.

Alexandra Kwasnik – Union Catholic:  Alexandra has been one of the best volleyball players and most feared hitters in the state this season, and is a big reason why Union Catholic has climbed all the way to No. 2 in the current state rankings. Kwasnik, a senior who was recently named the MaxPreps/AVCA New Jersey Player of the Week, has put up some jaw-dropping numbers this season to help spark the Vikings to a 13-1 record.  Through 14 matches, the University of Cincinnati-bound Kwasnik has piled up 131 kills, 34 blocks, 55 digs, 90 service points, and has recorded 18 aces to help spark UC.

Myles Plummer – Union Catholic: After a sensational freshman year, Myles came into this cross-country campaign confident and motivated to take his running to an even higher level this fall. And so far the sophomore star at Union Catholic has served notice to the rest of the state that he’s very fit, and has the potential to achieve some big goals and run with the state’s best this season. Plummer opened his season by running a personal best 16:20 to finish 13th at the Roxbury Invitational at Horseshoe Lake Park on Sept. 7. He followed that up by placing second in 16:29 at the NJCTC Bernie Magee Invitational Class Meet on Sept. 21 on the Greystone Course at Central Park in Morris Plains. Then this past Saturday, Plummer returned to Greystone and finished first in  the B Division race to lead the Vikings to a 42-76 victory over Secaucus.
