Union Catholic’s girls 4×800-meter relay team and Shane Brosnan and Myles Plummer produced memorable performances on one of the biggest stages in the world at the prestigious 114th Millrose Games on Saturday at the New Balance Track and Field Center in New York.

In the girls 4×800, the Vikings dominated the race with a wire-to-wire victory in 9:19.06, the fastest time by a NJ team this season and No. 5 in the nation. UC’s winning foursome consisted of Maameyaa Nyinah (2:17.86), Jenna Keith (2:23.46), Abby Granrath (2:24.40), and Kaleigh Gunsiorowski (2:13.35).

On the track, Union Catholic’s Brosnan, who is headed to Harvard, threw down one of the fastest times in state history when he finished third in the boys mile in 4:09.83, No. 6 in state history. Brosnan closed with a 2:01.87 final half mile and a 59.15 last quarter mile. UC senior Myles Plummer also ran a great race in the mile, placing sixth in 4:13.36.
