Tournament of Champions or bust.

That was the refrain that followed Summit—certainly publicly and probably privately, too—when the season began more than two months ago for a team that brought back nearly everyone from a season ago and earned the state’s No. 1 ranking on Opening Day.

And on Saturday, in a clinical exhibition on the final day of the season, all of the pieces that made Summit (23-2) look so intimidating on paper came to fruition on the field as the Hilltoppers blitzed Oak Knoll (21-5), its biggest rival, for a 10-4 win in the last-ever Tournament of Champions final at Mount St. Mary Academy in Watchung.
