The Scotch Plains-Fanwood girls, led by senior star Julia Jackson, captured its first state track and field title when the Raiders won the NJSIAA Group 3 Championship on Saturday at the Bennett Center in Toms River.
Jackson broke the meet record in the 400-meter run, tied for first in the 55 dash, ad anchored the winning relay for coach Jeff Koegel’s team.
