The senior class for Westfield, No. 16 in the NJ.com Top 20, has been waiting to put together a signature season for years and that initiative now has legs after the Blue Devils earned a 2-0 victory over No. 6 Montclair on Saturday.
The signature win adds to a scoreless tie that the Union County squad earned last weekend in a tilt against No. 8 Scotch Plains-Fanwood. Westfield is now 4-0-1 this season and has outscored its opponents, 21-0.
