Mike Carracino – Cranford: Mike is a junior captain and third year starting center midfielder. Mike has helped boost his team to several key victories already this season, helping the Cougars earn the 3rd overall seed (out of 19) in the Union County Tournament. He has recorded two goals and had four assists so far, including a goal and two assists in a recent 3-2 win over county and division rivals Linden. Mike will look to continue this recent run of good form in two key match ups this week against county rival SPF (4pm @ Memorial Field on 10/3) and division opponent ALJ (4pm @ Memorial on 10/5).
Martha Hurley – Cranford: Martha is currently leading the Cougar field hockey team with seven goals and two assists. As a second year captain, she sets an example for the players in the program demonstrating how her dedication to the sport has brought success to this season. Hurley is the team’s go to player and has netted two penalty strokes this season, one being a game winning goal in the teams most recent match up against Newark Academy. Martha has done an excellent job so far this season and will continue leading her teammates in the upcoming Union County Tournament and State Tournament.

Alex Tarnawski – Linden: Alex is the heartbeat of the Tiger offense. He currently has four goals but that is only part of what is required of him. In the team’s 4-2-3-1 system, he is the lone striker and a lot of the time he needs to fight off up to four defenders by himself waiting for his CAM’s to give him options. The seniors ball handling is second to none and that is why he is a major asset to the program.
