Adam Cohen – Jonathan Dayton High School: Adam finished 6th at the Stewart Invitational at Morris Plains Saturday, September 29th. The senior cross country captain, ran the best 5K time by a Dayton runner since 2007. It is his goal to run one of the fastest 5K ever by a Dayton Bulldog at the North 2 Group 1 Championship.

Sophia Ritter – Jonathan Dayton High School: Sophia is excited for her return to Dayton Tennis this year. After missing last season, Sophia was finally able to rejoin the squad this past week, taking her first win on Friday against Union High School. Sophia stands out on the Bulldog team as someone her teammates can look up to. Her positive attitude truly shined after her three hour match during the county tournament against Roselle Park. Even though Sophia didn’t come out with a win, she remained confident and positive about the match, which was a great lesson for her younger teammates. Sophia is hardworking, motivated, and passionate about the game of tennis.

Roselle Park varsity volleyball had a great week last week. All players contributed to some big wins. Cella Massey had an exceptional week as the team’s setter. She currently leads Roselle Park in assists and kills. She also ranks among the top blockers for the squad as well. Roselle Park volleyball is having a great season thus far and it’s attributed to their teamwork and unity. Cella’s standout performance last week took place against Dayton where she recorded 15 assists and 11 kills from the setter position.

Matt Rojas, Roselle Park: Matt had two goals and an assist in a 5-1 win over Roselle Catholic and added three goals in a 6-0 win over Ridgefield. On the season he has eight goals.
