Tyara McQueen – Roselle Catholic: Tyara has already been named as the UCC overall Player of the Week for her amazing play as a member of the RC Lady Lions Girls Basketball program. The Senior is averaging 13.2 points per game to go along with 4.8 assists and 2.3 rebounds per game. Tyara has been an integral part in the overall success of the 19-4 Lady Lions, and their current run in the Union County Tournament. This past week, Tyara amassed 22 points and 18 assists in the first two games of the UCT, helping lead the Lions past Governor Livingston and Scotch Plains. Tyara then led the team with 15 points, 6 assists and 3 rebounds in a Conference matchup vs Summit.
Nazreon Reid – Roselle Catholic: Naz has recently received the distinct honor of being named a McDonald’s All-American for the 2018 season. Since committing to Louisiana State University Tigers, the senior has erupted, helping lead the Lions to an 20-4 record thus far, and to pulling the team to within one point of knocking off the undefeated #1 team in the country, Montverde. Naz then helped the team bounce back scoring 40+ points with 30+ boards in the past three games. Naz is currently averaging 15.6 points along with 9.75 rebounds per game for the NJ #1 ranked Lions.
